Unsolved Puzzle

WICHITA FALLS, TX – Yet again the Brahmas struggled against the Wildcats, falling by a score of 4-1 on Thursday night.

The Wildcats dominated the first two periods completely picking apart nearly all aspects of the Brahmas game.  Former NA3HL standout Noah Gilreath opened the scoring in the first with a one of the strangest goals of the season.  A harmless shot from the point ricocheted off of the back boards, caromed out in front and off of the back of Conor O’Brien’s skate and then into the back of the net.

Before the first came to a halt University of Alabama-Hunstville commit Austin Beaulieu banged home a second chance goal for his seventh of the year making things 2-0.

In the second the Brahmas had more opportunities, however the lone tally was a short-handed one for the ‘Cats courtesy of Adam Goodsir.  The goal led the Brahmas to their first goaltending change of the season sending Corbin Kaczperski to relieve Conor O’Brien.

Kaczperski was clean in the third period and got one goal of support thanks to Cam Clarke.  The goal was certainly controversial as Justin Kapelmaster’s net was knocked off by a few inches yet play rolled on and Clarke stormed in late to tap one home.

However, with a minute to go NAHL Forward of the Month Austin Albrecht plotted an empty-netter to seal the deal.

Conor O’Brien suffers his first regulation loss of the season moving his record to 7-1-2.

The Brahmas will now hit the road again on Friday for a Saturday evening tilt against the Amarillo Bulls.

After that tilt the Brahmas are then eyeing up a home weekend against these same Wildcats on December 11th and 12th.  Tickets are available by calling 817-336-4ICE, atop your screen under the TICKETS tab or by stopping by the NYTEX Sports Centre box office.
