Aiden Torres makes NCAA Commitment to University of Wisconsin River Falls

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX —

The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Aidan Torres, has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin River Falls, joining Brahmas Alternate Captain Dylan Smith.

Torres, 21, from Hingham, MA appeared in 45 regular season games and 5 playoff games in the 2021-22 season for the Brahmas. The 6-foot, 185 pound, left shooting, defenseman racked up 6 points (2 goals- 4 assists) last season and was popular with the fans at the Shoebox, the main arena at NYTEX Sports Centre, Home of the Brahmas.

In four seasons in the NAHL Torres appeared in 83 games, along with 7 playoff games. During
this time, he accumulated 9 points (3 goals- 6 assists).

UW-River Falls, which is located 30 minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, plays in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and are 19-time WIAC Champions. The three-time NCAA National Champions play their home games out of the brand new 65-million-dollar W.H. Hunt Arena, located directly on campus.
