NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX — The Brahmas’ NAHL season-high win streak ended this past weekend, and all sights are set on the road ahead. However, 14 straight games in the win column (a Lone Star Brahmas record) is certainly a feat, especially in a competitive NAHL South Division.
Here’s a look back at some team highs and individual performances from the streak!
- The Brahmas, who lead the NAHL in Shots For/60 , lived up to their reputation as a high-volume shooting team with 521 shots on goal during the streak.
- They also allowed only 342 shots over that span, for a shot differential of +179.
- The team performed especially well in the back end of games, outscoring opponents 36-13 in the second and third periods.
- Austin Kamer was the Brahmas’ leading producer over the span with 9 goals and 6 assists for 15 points. Those 9 goals led the team during the streak. He also led the team in multipoint games (5).
- Pete Kessel and Troy York both had their fair share of goals during the streak, with 8 each.
- York led the team with 5 game-winning goals. He now has a share of the league lead in GWG with 7 overall.
- Kessel, meanwhile, earned his commitment to the College of the Holy Cross during the win streak. Goaltender Alec Calvaruso also committed during the streak — he’ll be joining former Brahma Alex Berardinelli at Colorado College.
