Feb 1, 2024

COMMITMENT ALERT!

Deivs Rolovs has announced NCAA DI commitment to Niagara University Purple Eagles! The congratulations from teammates, friends and family has been steadily rolling in since his announcment on social.

Fresh from his return from the World Juniors tournament in which Rolovs played for his native Latvia, Rolovs has been at the top of the NAHL Goalie Statistics leaderboard alongside fellow Brahmas goalie Jack Weineke for most of this season.

“I’m very excited and honoured to announce my commitment to play NCAA D1 hockey and further my education at Niagara University! I would like to thank my family, teammates, coaches, friends and all of those who helped me along the way! #gopurpleeagles🦅”

– Rolovs

Rolovs joins Brahmas Captain Ray Murakami and David Skuhrovec as fellow NU commits on the current Lone Star roster. Additionally, Rolovs has been selected to participate in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Pittsburgh next week, appearing for the NAHL Selects Silver team.

Only those NAHL players without an NCAA commitment are eligible to participate in the 2024 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, except for those who have been identified by NHL Central Scouting as prospects for the 2024 NHL Draft. Each team has 20 players (12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goalies) for a total of 120 players.
