NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – Wednesday night was historical for all the wrong reasons as the Brahmas were shut out by the Wildcats, 4-0.

In the first period Jonathan Lazarus opened the scoring when he put back a rebound amongst a mess of players to give Wichita Falls the lead.

During the second frame Adam Goodsir and Ben Lown scored just 27 seconds apart to continue the slide, putting the Brahmas down by three for the first time all season.

In an attempt to fire up his troops, Hogan Davidson dropped the gloves with Austin Albrecht at the 12:04 mark of the third period and while the energy was existent for a few minutes, the Wildcats continued their offense moments later.  Nikita Litviak then beat Bud Madej and converted on a breakaway to seal the final scoring at 4.

Corbin Kaczperski takes the loss in net dropping his record to 6-2-1, while at the other end of the ice Justin Kapelmaster earned his second shutout of the season and 12th win in 15 starts.

This was the first time all season the Brahmas lost in regulation at home.  It was their second time being shutout all season, the other coming against Fairbanks at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN.  The last time the Brahmas were shutout in a regular season game at home was February 21st, 2014.

The Brahmas will now enjoy their holiday on Thursday before returning to action on Friday and Saturday against the Amarillo Bulls.  Tickets are now available by calling 817-336-4ICE, atop your screen under the TICKETS tab, or at the NYTEX Sports Centre box office on Friday beginning at 10 A.M.
