Brahmas Welcome New AC Logan Murphy!

Aug 9, 2023

There will be a new face on the bench in Brahma Land this season. Logan Murphy is moving to North Richland Hills as the new Assistant Coach for the Lone Star Brahmas. Murphy is no stranger to the North American Hockey League. Last season he was the Assistant Coach for the North Iowa Bulls and the two years prior he was with the Chippewa Steel.

As a player, Murphy won two Fraser Cup’s in the NA3HL with the North Iowa Bulls. During his playing time with the Bulls they also won 150 games and three division titles. One might say Logan’s hobbies include collecting hardware as he has also been part of two USA Hockey National Championship teams and one runner up squad.

We asked Logan what his goal was in Brahma Land to which he replied, “We want to win our division and then the Robertson Cup.”

The Brahmas are set to report to camp later this month with pre-season games set to take place over the Labor Day Weekend. Coach Wildfong says he is ready to get to work, and from the sound of it, Murphy sounds ready as he offered these thoughts on working alongside Wildfong, “I am extremely grateful to be able to work and coach alongside Dan Wildfong, his passion and dedication to the team, organization, and community certainly speaks volumes. As well as his track record of advancing players and coaches to higher levels accompanied with a winning pedigree are just some of the things I am excited to join him in doing.”
