NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Lone Star Brahmas received more recognition in the North American Hockey League postseason awards, representing the South Division.
Forward Sebastian Vidmar was named to the All-South Division Team as well as winning the South Division Forward of the Year and MVP races. Vidmar will be up for the overall MVP and NAHL Forward of the Year awards in the coming weeks.
The Swedish forward won the NAHL scoring title with 35 goals and 80 points in 58 games played. He became the first player in the NAHL since the 2011-12 regular season to reach 80 points in one regular season. Additionally, he led the league with 11 game winning goals.
Head Coach Dan Wildfong represents the Brahmas as the South Division Coach of the Year. Wildfong is finishing up his eighth season behind the bench with the Brahmas and he gives a lot of credit to his assistant coach Jeff Potter for building a championship-driven team in North Richland Hills.
After missing the playoff in their first year in the league, Lone Star finished second place in the league and won the South Division Regular Season Championship. Wildfong and Potter also led the Brahmas to the best home record in the league, going 25-2-1 which includes an 18-game home win streak to start the season.
Finally, the entire Brahmas organization was announced as the South Division Organization of the Year. A big part of that recognition comes back to the great fans of Brahmaland who made this season possible.
Lone Star led the way with five recognitions in the South Division awards. Topeka finished second with four, Wichita Falls nabbed three honors, Corpus Christi locked up two awards, and Odessa had one.

The remainder of the NAHL 2014-15 season awards including the All-NAHL Teams, Most Valuable Player, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Vaughn Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year, along with the Academic Achievement Award and Community Service Award, will be all be announced on Monday, April 27th.
