Josh Martin becomes latest Brahma to announce Division 1 commitment

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – For the second time in as many weeks the Lone Star Brahmas see another player make a commitment to play college hockey at a Division I program!

Josh Martin is the latest Brahma after his announcement that he will attend the University of Alaska Anchorage, the same university as teammate Skylar Gutierez, after his time in the NAHL is finished.

The 6’3 defenseman is currently in his third season with the Brahmas and through 15 games played has scored one goal and two assists.

Martin joined Lone Star for the 2017-18 season making 11 appearances with zero points. In his second stint with the team (2018-19), the Brownstown, Michigan native played in 52 games while recording nine points off of two goals and seven assists.

With Martin’s recent commitment, the Lone Star Brahmas now have eight players on the current roster, tied for the most in the NAHL, with Division I commitments to play college hockey
