NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS–

David Vieten has committed to playing NCAA Hockey at Williams College, the player announced on March 30th on Twitter. As the remarkable 2021-22 season of the Lone Star Brahmas NAHL campaign brought the team deep into the Robertson Cup playoffs and the best record in the league for the regular season, the 6’1″ Forward from Calabasas, CA arrived mid-season on a trade with the Kenai River Brown Bears.

No stranger to the NAHL playoffs, Vieten appeared in 9 playoffs games for the Brown Bears in the 2020-21 season during which he tallied two assists. With the Brahmas in the 2021-22 season, Vieten played 19 games in the purple and black, and he added another 9 playoffs appearances before a heartbreaking elimination at the hands of the South Division Champion New Mexico Ice Wolves.

“We are excited to see the contributions David will make at Williams College.” said Brahmas General Manager and Head Coach Dan Wildfong when reached for comment at the Brahmas Pre-Draft Camp in Chicago. “The future is bright for David and we are looking forward to seeing him play college hockey.”
