“Proud to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at Michigan Technological University. Thank you to my family friends and coaches who have all believed in me and helped me get here.”  (@CaydenBailey25 Instagram Post – March 13, 2020)

Cayden Bailey, Lone Star Brahmas Goalie from Estero, FL has announced his commitment to play Division 1 Hockey for Michigan Tech. In a week which offered very few feel good stories, this news from the League Leader (in nearly every enviable NAHL Goalie statistic) was most welcomed indeed during a season on hiatus, officially paused by the NAHL. When interviewed on a recent Brahma Land podcast, Bailey was asked about his recent accomplishment in tying the shutout record, which is now shared with Harvard Goalie Mitchell Gibson. Said Bailey, “It’s a total team effort. Which says even more about how awesome the D-Line in front of me is, and that makes it easier for me to focus in and do what I do best.”

During the 2019-2020 Lone Star Brahmas’ 14 game win streak Head Coach Dan Wildfong was early to notice the trajectory his team was on and the 200 foot mentality from each team member. “Both of our Goalies are extremely talented and disciplined. Best in the league, no doubt. Bailey, well that young man is going to break records, pure and simple.”

The entire Brahmas organization and Brahma Land fan base is incredibly proud of Cayden Bailey, and are looking forward to watching his opportunity to contribute to the Michigan Technological University Huskies Hockey program.
