It was another low-scoring affair for the Brahmas — that seems to be the trademark for the team lately. Despite a strong performance from goaltender Harrison Feeney, Lone Star couldn’t quite muster up sufficient goal support.

Joey Baez was the Brahmas’ lone goal-scorer of the game.

The goal came on a power play and was assisted by Brahmas leading scorer Matt Guerra and Jake Suede. At the time, the goal served as the equalizer.

Corpus Christi, however, cashed in on a power play goal of their own just 25 seconds into the third period, and the score would stand at 2-1.

There was a strong offensive push by Lone Star in the third period, with several high-danger chances around the net, but the Brahmas were unable to bury. It was a case of too little, too late, and the IceRays took the regulation win.

SATURDAY (3-2 SO LOSS)

Thanks to two goals from defensemen, the Brahmas took Saturday’s game into the shootout, but ultimately fell in a 3-2 loss.

Kimball Johnson and Tim Henriksson were the Brahmas goal-scorers, with Johnson’s goal coming on a power play and Henriksson’s coming at even strength with five minutes left in the game.

Scott Persson was the Brahmas’ only shooter to convert in the shootout.
