Oct 23, 2018

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX — The Brahmas have completed an in-division trade with the Corpus Christi IceRays, sending forward Jack Sampson to Corpus Christi in return for Noah Roofe.

Sampson, a 1998-born, 6-foot-4 Brahmas draft pick from Portage, Michigan played in ten games with the Brahmas and put up three goals and two assists during that time.  Prior to this season with the Brahmas, Sampson played in the NOJHL with the Blind River Beavers (16-14–40 in 34 regular season games).

Roofe, a 5-foot-10 forward from Chesterfield, Missouri, is in his second season in the NAHL and very familiar with the NAHL South Division. Last year with the IceRays, Roofe scored five goals and added two assists in 43 games. With a 1999 birth year, Roofe will still be eligible to play junior hockey next season.

The Brahmas would like to wish Jack the best of luck in the future and welcome Noah to the Lone Star organization.
