Big 3rd Period Earns Lone Star Brahmas Split iN 4-1 Win

Mar 21, 2015

Friday night saw the Lone Star Brahmas suffer a loss to the Wenatchee Wild despite a valiant comeback effort. After falling behind by three the boys in purple and black pulled themselves back to within one goal, but could not get the equalizer.

Just as they had last night, the Brahmas opened the scoring in the first. Chad Guderianpicked off the puck in front of Jake Kupsky and went barreling down the near side into the rightwing circle before firing a shot off of Zach Quinn’s chest. The rebound came back out front for Liam Stirtzinger who was trailing the play to put back under the Wild netminder at the 8:18 mark. With just over five minutes to go in the period August Von Ungern-Sternberg caught up with a loose puck in the neutral zone and went streaking into the Brahmas’ zone. Johan Steen stepped up and rode him deep running the speedy Wild forward out shooting room.
