Brahmas Hockey Welcomes New Recruiting Coordinator Matthew Tanczos


Brahmas Hockey is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew Tanczos to the role of Recruiting Coordinator, reporting directly to Lone Star Brahmas Head Coach and GM Dan Wildfong as well as Head of Scouts Mike Bloome. Matthew currently majors in Finance at Georgetown University. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Tanczos played hockey up to the AAA and high school varsity levels in and around the Pittsburgh area.

Reached for comment as the news was breaking to Brahmas Hockey staff, Coach WIldfong and Brahmas Associate Head Coach Ryan Anderson were both beaming with excitement regarding the addition of Tanczos. “This is a really big deal for Brahmas Hockey at every level,” explained Wildfong. “Matthew is going to be great at helping our scouts identify and communicate with top prospects. It’s a real advantage for our entire organization structure to have someone helping us at this capacity.”

Coach Anderson continued, “Tanczos is also going to be a great resource for our NAHL and NA3HL players being scouted by various schools and leagues; enabling better communications between players, scouts and schools with strong hockey programs, yes, alongside the career-path programs the players are interested to pursue. Its a good thing, opening more lines of communication between the stake holders.”

In his spare time, Matthew Tanczos is working to achieve a private pilot license.

Brahmas Hockey is hosting two Pre-Draft camps this summer in the weeks leading up to the North American Hockey League 2023 Draft. The NAHL Entry Draft will be broadcast live on HockeyTV and be done online at The first Brahmas Pre-Draft camp will be held at the Kube in Hammond, IN (Chicagoland area) June 2-4, 2023. The second camp is to be held in the New York area days later and those details, registration, and hotel partner arrangements will be announced this week at!
