NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Lone Star Brahmas have acquired two new players through separate trades to help bolster the Brahmas’ roster. One forward, Max Borst, and one defenseman, Chris Tamer, join the team this week ahead of this weekend’s matchup with the Amarillo Bulls.
The Brahmas sent forward Sacha Guillemain to the Austin Bruins in exchange for the 2000-born defenseman from Dexter, Michigan. Tamer appeared in eight games for the Bruins this season recording one assist. Tamer was selected 17th overall by the Bruins this summer in the NAHL Draft.
In the second trade of the week, the Brahmas sent a second-round pick to the Maryland Black Bears for the rights to Max Borst. A 19-year-old from Edina, Minnesota, Borst appeared in 51 games for the Black Bears dating back to last season while recording 18 points (seven goals and 11 assists).
