NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX — The Lone Star Brahmas have completed an in-division trade with the Odessa Jackalopes, acquiring forward Zach Heintz in exchange for Vilho Saariluoma and a draft pick.
Saariluoma was selected by the Brahmas this past summer in the NAHL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound forward registered four goals and 10 assists in 31 games with Lone Star. Saariluoma will have one year of junior eligibility remaining following this season, but is committed to Bentley University.
Zach Heintz, a 1998-born forward from Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a NAHL veteran who has plenty of experience playing in the South Division. This is his third season with Odessa. In his NAHL career, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Heintz has posted 34 goals and 64 assists in 151 games.
The Brahmas would like to wish Vilho the best of luck in the future and welcome Zach to the Lone Star organization.
