NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX — The Lone Star Brahmas are pleased to announce that they have signed defenseman Mitchell Digby to a tender for the 2019-20 season.
Digby, who hails from Michigan, is currently playing with the Belle Tire program, where he has recorded 3 goals and 7 assists in 10 games so far this season. “I feel great [about this year], we have a good group of guys that work hard and want to win every night,” he said.
When this season is in the books, he’s excited to get started in Brahmaland. “I have heard only good things about Coach Wildfong and Coach Hale about how they run the team and I love the Dallas-Fort Worth area,” Digby said when asked about his decision to tender with Lone Star.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defenseman describes himself as a good two-way defenseman who likes to get involved in the offensive zone but also takes pride in playing solid in the defensive zone.
“We’re excited to add a player of Mitchell’s caliber to our program,” Assistant Coach Justin Hale said. “He is a very talented defenseman and a welcome addition to our blue line for next season.”
* A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft. *
