NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – Lone Star Brahmas alumnus Ludvig Larsson has announced he is transferring to Penn State University for the 2018-19 season.
Larsson, who played for the Brahmas during the 2014-15 season, will use the graduate transfer rule so he can play for the Nittany Lions immediately. The Swedish forward leaves Merrimack after three seasons.
Larsson would have been Merrimack’s leading scorer if he had returned. He scored 24 goals and added 21 assists in 91 NCAA games. Having never made it to the NCAA postseason with the Warriors, Larsson wanted a chance to play for a championship contender.
During his time with the Brahmas, Larsson helped lead the Brahmas to a South Division Championship. He scored 25 goals and 36 assists for 61 points in 61 games.
