Brahmas Complete Weekend Sweep

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – The Lone Star Brahmas hosted the Wichita Falls Wildcats Saturday at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills in what was their first home pre season game of the 2015-2016 season.  A crowd of 1,492 were in attendance to watch the Brahmas win in a 6-2 victory over their closest divisional rival.

Scoring was spread around for the Brahmas as four different players found the back of the net over the course of the night.  New Brahma, Tomas Brejcha, lit the lamp twice as did another new comber, Kyle Patava.   Brahmas also saw goals from speedster Alexander Berardinelli, and returning fan favorite Hogan Davidson.

The Brahmas goaltenders, Darion Hanson and Gunner Rivers split time in between the pipes as both players saw 30 minutes of action in the game.  Each goalie allowed one goal in the game.

Following regulation play, the fans were treated to a 5 minute 3-on-3 overtime period.  The North American Hockey League adopted the new sudden death format this season.  Martin Mellberg put a quick end to the overtime period scoring just 14 seconds into the game.

The Brahmas will close out their pre-season as they welcome the Corpus Christi IceRays to town on September 15th.  For tickets to that game or any game in the 2015-2016 season contact the Brahmas Box Office at 817-336-4423.
