Brahmas Welcome Homestand After Tough Weekend

The Lone Star Brahmas came up just short over the weekend in back to back games in Kansas against the league's top team, Topeka Roadrunners. Following a 4-2 loss on Friday evening, the Brahmas battled in a strong defensive 2-1 defeat Saturday.

The Brahmas have no time to dwell on the weekend's shortcomings as they host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees this Friday and Saturday at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Faceoff begins at 7:30 PM, but fun and festivities will be going on just prior to the game.

On Friday, NYTEX will host their "Health and Wellness Night" for all in attendance. Come early and receive samples, advice and participate in fun activities in the lobby.  Several sponsors and vendors will be on hand to promote health for our families.

Holiday spirits will be high on Saturday evening as the Brahmas host their annual "Teddy Bear Toss".  Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals with them to the game and following the Brahmas' first goal are asked to "toss the teddy bears" on the ice in celebration. Allen Samuels Dodge will be parading in a truck to pick up the cuddly donations. All donations will be collected and given to the Community Enrichment Center of North Richland Hills for Santa to give to local underprivileged children.
