For the second week in a row Lone Star Brahmas forward Sebastian Vidmar earned NAHL Easton South Division Player of the Week recognition.
Last week Vidmar took the award after putting up 3G – 2A in Wichita Falls as the Brahmas took three of a possible four points with an overtime loss on Friday followed by a 5 – 1 win on Saturday. One of his two goals on Saturday went down as the game winner.
The native of Malmo Sweden followed up with another meteoric performance this weekend against the Corpus Christi Icerays. In the Brahmas home opener on Friday in front of over 2100 in the NYTEX Sports Centre, Vidmar opened the scoring midway through the first period. When the Icerays pushed Lone Star to overtime, it was Vidmar who would be the hero in the 3 – 2 win. With just 42 seconds gone in the extra period he took the puck behind the net and wrapped it around the far post to send the team pouring off the bench and crowd into a frenzy.
